Outside Facility
PLASTIC
Sort plastics by their "plastic resin type" before recycling. Identify the "resin type" by locating the code number within the three-arrow recycling symbol, usually on the bottom of the containers.
Sorry, non-bottle items such as butter tubs, trays, and yogurt containers are not acceptable, even if it is a number 1 or 2 plastic (such items are injection molded).
What can be recycled:
- #1 (PET) Poly-Ethylene Terephthalate
Includes 1 and 2-liter soda bottles. - #2 (HDPE) High Density Polyethylene
Includes Plastic Screw-Top Containers, most clear and colored milk, juice and water jugs, laundry detergent, shampoo bottles, and lotion containers. - Plastic Sacks
Includes plastic newspaper sleeves, plastic grocery sacks, bread bags, shoppingsacks. You may also recycle six-pack rings in this window.
How to recycle plastics:
- For all jugs and bottles, remove lids and rinse thoroughly.
- All labels may be left on.
- Plastic bags must be clean
TIN (steel "tin" cans)
How to recycle tin:
- Rinse cans thoroughly.
- All labels and container lids may be left on.
ALUMINUM
- Aluminum cans and aluminum foil may be recycled.
- Rinse cans/ foil before recycling.

GLASS
What can be recycled:
- Clear, Brown, Amber, Blue, and Green glass
- Amber and Brown go together, Blue and Green also go together.
- Only jars and bottles.
How to recycle glass:
- Food and beverage glass bottles should be rinsed out and sorted according to color.
- Containers should be metal free.
- Remove lids.
- Paper labels may be left on.
- Window glass, light bulbs, ceramic glass, etc. are not acceptable.
NEWSPAPER
How to recycle newspaper:
- Keep newspaper clean and dry.
- Do not recycle with any plastic or paper bags or strings attached.
- Advertisement inserts are OK to recycle.
PAPER
What can be recycled:
- Mixed Paper
Junk mail, colored paper, file folders, envelopes with windows, and construction paper. - White Paper
Office white ledger paper, white envelopes, greenbar paper, computer print-out paper, and letterhead. - Chipboard
Food boxes, beverage containers and shoeboxes. - Catalogs, Magazines
All magazines and magazine types may be recycled. Place TV Guides with Newspaper.
CARDBOARD
What can be recycled:
- Corrugated cardboard.
- Paper grocery sacks.
How to recycle cardboard:
- Must be broken down.
- No wax-coated cardboard accepted.
- Place chipboard (e.g. cereal boxes) with Mixed Paper.
- Labels and tape, may be recycled with cardboard.
INSIDE STORE
